The Ugliness of Self-Destructive Beliefs
How great would life be if we all had and felt like a million dollars 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
We would never feel like we have been dealt a bad hand or feel full of self-confidence lows. We would have the energy to jump out of bed and meet the day with loads of excitement and confidence in knowing that we can get through the day without worries that we can’t fix. Life is good, oh so good — right?.
NOT if you are a person bogged down by self-destructive beliefs. What you think and believe about yourself and your life has a powerful impact on your everyday existence. Unfortunately, some beliefs are destructive to the process of living a successful, fulfilling life. However, if you can identify those self-sabotaging thoughts, you can then work to banish them from your life for good.
Low self-confidence is a very nasty characteristic to carry around with us. It makes us feel weak and undervalued. It makes us lose faith in our actions and dreams. It can even stop us from going forward with our passions in doing truly what we love. These ugly negative thoughts take hold of our minds and can control emotions.
Imagine watching a show, and in this show there is a character trying to get through life struggling with self-sabotaging thoughts. Would you not be thinking, or if you are me YELLING, at them to STOP? Stop believing you aren’t worth it. Stop holding yourself back. Wouldn’t you be thinking of ways to help them? As weird as it is, the person in that show could be you. All you have to do is step outside of yourself, and your ability to think differently can be simple. We always think that we look funny in pictures, but when we look at other people in pictures, we don’t pick them apart. Well — neither does anyone do that to our pictures. We are our worst critic when we allow self-destructive beliefs to take priority in our minds.
How you live your life and find happiness is totally up to you, so kick self-sabotage in the BUTT! Practice action tips and affirmations to eliminate these beliefs from existence. Understand that if you really want something, you can and will get it. That’s a fact! Think of everything and everyone around you as a positive resource that you can use to create positive habits.
